The charger can intelligently select the most suitable charging current based on the detection of the automatic battery capacity, but the current can also be manually selected from 3, 2, 1 and 0.5 A. The SC2 offers protection against reverse polarity, prevents short circuit and can detect non-rechargeable batteries.
With extremely low internal resistance, IMR batteries can be overcharged and lead to safety problems when they are charged in regular Li-ion battery chargers. To address this problem, the SC2 has an optimized IMR charging system that is capable of monitoring the entire charging process, so that the voltage always remains within safe limits, which ultimately prolongs the battery life.
Another unique feature of the SC2 is the ability to restore IMR cells. After placing an OV IMR battery, all eight LEDs on the SC2 will flash to indicate that it is not ready to charge. By holding the button over the relevant slot, the charger goes to the recovery mode. If the battery does not recover after several attempts, we recommend that the battery be discarded.
Other features include protection against reverse polarity and short-circuit prevention, USB output and overtime protection.
Do not try to charge lisoci2 cells (like saft ls14500 or tadiran sl-760) this are not rechargable cells and will explode if you charge them
